San Francisco International Tea Festival

We hope you are doing well.
In this newsletter, we are very glad to unveil about the event in November. Our manager of the international sales department, Yuki Tomiyama, flew from Kagoshima to the US in order to exhibit the event.
Kagoshima Seicha participated at the “San Francisco International Tea Festival” held in San Francisco in early November for the first time in four years. It was held at the Marketplace in San Francisco Ferry Building for two days, gathered with about 20 tea shops from all over the world, intended for general consumers.
The customers were able to taste sample a wide variety of teas from around the world, by visiting each booth with a small cup in hand, and also purchase their favorite products on the spot. There was crowded with more than 2,000 visitors over the two days, and thankfully, at Kagoshima Seicha’s booth was also huge success. (Thank you very much to everyone who came!) Some customers had a touching reunion after four years.

Four years ago, Matcha was overwhelmingly popular, but what I particularly interested in this time was the increasing popularity of Hojicha and Sencha. While many tea shops offer hot tea samples, Kagoshima Seicha’s booth also offered cold Hojicha and Sencha brewed in a bottle, which were very popular! There was such a long line for its tasting. In addition, we suddenly collaborated with the cold-brew tea with fruits at a local farmers market, so that the customers enjoyed as a flavored tea.
Truley, it was a very fun two days, and I felt so happy to feel the passion of all the tea lovers!
By participating in local events overseas, we can discover new appeals of tea and feel lively reactions of local customers. With these stimulations or experiences we will apply in Kagoshima Seicha’s future product manufacturing and sales.
